A. L. Benage of Lebanon Died Monday May 30, 1932
A. L. Benage, former influential business man of Iberia and well known citizen of Miller county, died at his home in Lebanon Monday afternoon (May 30, 1932) of this week of heart trouble. He had been in failing health for the past year.
Funeral services were held in Lebanon Wednesday and interment made in the cemetery at that place.
He is survived by his aged companion, four sons and two daughters namely; Ernest Benage of Iberia, Mo., Dr. J. L. Benage of Lebanon, Mo., Dr. Otto Benage of Conway, Mo., Fred Benage of Delaware, Oklahoma, Mrs. Maude Bradshaw of Lebanon, Mo., and Mrs. Wm. Bear of Ash Grove, Mo.

While his G. A. R. comrades were honoring departed soldiers at the cemetery, A. L. Benage, 88, prominent Laclede County Civil War Veteran, died at his home here Monday afternoon.
Death was attributed to heart trouble and uremic poisoning. He became ill Sunday night. It was the first death in the immediate family. Mr. and Mrs. Benage celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in January.

Andrew L. Benage enlisted in the 42nd Regiment of the Enrolled Missouri Militia at Iberia, Miller County, Missouri on August 7th 1862 and served in that unit until March 22, 1864 when he enlisted into the 48th Regiment of the Missouri Volunteer Infantry. He was made sergeant on September 10th, 1864 and served in that regiment until the end of the war. Mustered out at Benton Barracks June 29, 1865.
