Diane Joyce Wright, 66, of Romney, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018.
Born Sept. 10, 1952, in Hampshire County, W.Va., she was the daughter of Charles and Vivian Bean Bowman and Dale and Iliff (Peters) Maphis.
She was a registered nurse for 37 years at Western Maryland Health Systems. She was a member of G.F.W.C. of Romney, First United Methodist Church of Romney, and Critical Care Nurses Association.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Bowman, and an infant brother and sister.
She is survived by a daughter, Melinda Ruby (Brian); two grandchildren, Kristen and Justin of Stratford, Conn.; sister, Carol (Bob) Bowman Shelton, Sun City, Ariz.; three brothers, Michael C. Bowman, Romney, Jennnings Bowman and Bob Bowman, both of Leonardtown; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Romney, on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mark James officiating.
Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Ste. 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, or Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
