Malcolm Earl Johnson Jr. (Huddle), 86, of St. Albans, passed away December 13, 2018, at CAMC Teays Valley.
He was born October 26, 1932, in St. Albans, the son of Malcolm Earl Sr. and Emma Adkins Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Johnson.

Malcolm worked with Union Painters Local 970 in Charleston and numerous Detroit auto industry related jobs. He was also very proud of his Army related medical work and continued his training throughout his life. He was a loving, generous and compassionate son, brother and brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, friend and neighbor.

Malcolm was also an animal lover (especially his cats), wonderful cook and master story teller. Very intelligent and well read, he was considered a homespun philosopher, and while he didn't hesitate to give you his honest opinion, everything was seasoned with his great sense of humor and kindness.

Malcolm is survived by his brother, Thomas Johnson (Anne); sisters, Edna Saltzman (Marshall) and Betty Giani; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Malcolm's life will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 17, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, with Rev. Burton Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, with Military Graveside Rites conducted by St. Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.
