Born in Milwaukee to Margaret (Lawton) and Oscar T. Bade on August 12, 1925. Beloved wife for 63 years of the late James “Jim” H. Wheeler, Jr. Loving mother of Michael (Deborah McNear, M.D.) Wheeler, M.D. of Chenequa, Dana Wheeler Terracina of San Antonio, TX, Katie (John) Mehan of Whitefish Bay and the late James H. Wheeler, M.D., III. Cherished grandmother of James H. (Kaysee) Wheeler IV, Rachel (John) Hargis, Michael T. Wheeler, Thomas Wheeler, Peter Terracina, Paul Terracina, Meg (Mike) Kinateder, Jack Mehan, and great-grandmother of Claire and Thomas Kinateder, and Graham Hargis. Also survived by her nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
A lifelong Milwaukeean, Ginny was an enthusiastic leader, donor and fundraiser. She loved a great party, a good party; actually pretty much any kind of party as long as she was with family and friends.
Among countless other contributions to our community, Ginny was active in Catholic Social Services, Christ Child Society, and Marquette University Women’s Council. She was a decades-long friend and supporter of Dominican High School, a long-standing board member of the Arthritis Foundation and for over 30 years, a major supporter of and influential fundraiser for Camp Mash. A fan of Marquette Basketball since the early Bill Chandler era (!!), Ginny has always been a tireless and energetic booster.
