Bonnie Jean Green, age 64 of New Paris, OH, died Thursday, December 20, 2018. Born on December 28, 1953 in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Clarence “Gene” & Jeanette (Royer) Hawkey. She had been a Legal Secretary in Tennessee and Indiana. A 1972 graduate of National Trail High School and served in the U.S. Navy for 15 plus years as a Chief Petty Officer and served in the reserves for four years. Member of the American Legion in New Paris, DAV and Eldorado First Universalist Church. Preceded in death by her Brother: James Oliver Hawkey in 1947.

Survived by her Husband of 29 years: Douglas P. Green, Sr.; Daughters: Christina L. (Eric) Bales and Catherine E. Hing; Sister: Donna Belle Zamber; Grandsons: Connor Hing, Hunter and Landon Bales; Lifelong Friends: Marilee Stroman and John Harding; nieces, nephews, cousins and uncle: Glen Royer.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Eldorado First Universalist Church, 160 Monroe Street, Eldorado, OH with Pastor Kathy Brawley officiating. Interment will be held in Twin Creek Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 A.M, to 1:00 P.M. at the church.
