ELLIOTT, Bettie Lenore (nee Karn) May 12, 1926 - November 29, 2013 It is with sadness that we announce the loss of our Mom. She died peacefully in her sleep at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital following a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Elliott (2003). Dear mother of John (Karen) Elliott of Georgetown and Susan Neeb of Waterloo. Loving Gam to Sean (Kate) Neeb, Ryan (Trish) Neeb, Amy (Jeremy) Arnold, Brad (Laurie) Elliott and Amanda Elliott. "GG" will be missed by great- grandchildren Paige, Jasper, Nicole, Joshua, Oliver, Molly, Benjamin and Kieran. Survived by her sister Peg (Denny) Meyer and sister-in-law Mary Karn. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Margaret Karn, brother Jack Karn and son-in-law Jim Neeb. Bettie was a retired employee of Zehrs. She was involved in various volunteer activities including Girl Guides of Canada, March of Dimes and taught Sunday School for several years at St. Stephens Lutheran Church where she was a long standing member. Prior to Bettie's last few days at Freeport Health Centre, she spent four weeks at St. Mary's Hospital. A special thanks is extended to all her compassionate caregivers. We would also like to thank the Court at Laurelwood for the special kindnesses they have given to family over the past month. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bettie with her family during the visitation at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. A funeral service and celebration of Bettie's life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in which the Reverend Robert Sicard from the Chapel at the Court at Laurelwood, Outreach Ministry of All Saints' Anglican Church in Waterloo, will officiate. Reception to follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Cremation has already taken place. Condolences to the family and donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Waterloo Regional Food Bank, Mary's Place, St. Mary's General Hospital or a charity of your choice and may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
