He was a native of Nelson County, a retired millwright for the old Tube Turns, and a member of Bethany Christian Church, Duvall Masonic Lodge 6 and Scottish Rite.
Survivors: his wife, the former Sidney Triplett; a daughter, Jane Harrell; a brother, Bill Harrell of Greenup; a sister, Mary E. Case of Bardstown; and three grandchildren.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday, Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway. Burial: Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday.
