Ronnie Edward Wright age 65 of Albion, was born June 13, 1953 in Bessemer, Alabama son of the late James and Rosie (Miller) Wright.
He departed this life on November 30, 2018 after a brief visit while staying with his family in Milwaukee. Ronnie moved to Battle Creek, Michigan in the mid 60’s with his mother and siblings. Ronnie attended Battle Creek Central High School and attended Kellogg Community College. He was employed at Arboretum Museum, Federal Center, Battle Creek and J & M Plating in Albion.
Friends and family lovingly knew Ronnie as “Squid”. He never met a stranger and to him friends became family. Ronnie had the knack of making you laugh even when you were feeling bad. And everyone that met him loved him. He loved sports, when he thought he had the winning lottery number (which was everyday he played). He had the love of animals, especially dogs, standing joke, if you lost your dog Ronnie got him.
He was a member at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles Magee, and rededicated his membership under Pastor Bobby McKenzie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dwight Wright and special friend Willie Jones.
Ronnie is survived by his children, Maurice L. Pulley, Sr. of St. Francis, WI, Safraunya Pulley of Milwaukee, WI, X’Lecia Hill of Holt, MI, Ronald Dion Jones of Kalamazoo, MI, Eric (NashaBeth) Mier Greavis of Superior, WI, Erica Mier Greaves of Detroit, MI, Angelicka Rosie Fulps of Albion, MI and Isaiah and Dwight Chatman of Albion, MI; 25 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Jessie Wright of Albion, Delores (Harry) Wright Campbell of Flint, Michael (Tommie) Right of Albion and Patricia Wright of Columbus, GA and the love of his life Ms. Addie Chatman and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Service will be Friday, December 21, 2018 at 12:00PM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1010 Chauncey Street, Albion with family hour starting at 11:00AM prior to the service with Pastor Bobby McKenzie officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
