Mrs. Joan Vilate Barlow, resident of West Bountiful for 28 years died of heart ailment at her home, 131 Third Avenue, in Salt Lake City, Sunday night.

Surviving are two sons, Newel H. Barlow, of South Bountiful and Owen Barlow of Salt Lake City; two grandchildren and two sisters Mrs. Vee Anderson, Millville and Mrs. Nephi Hepworth, West Bountiful.

Mrs. Barlow lived in West Bountiful until 15 years ago when she moved to the city.

She was president of the Young Women's Mutual Improvement association of West Bountiful ten years, after which she served on the stake board of the same organization. She had also been prominent in local musical circles.

Funeral services were held in the West Bountiful chapel Thursday afternoon under the direction of Bishop Thomas E. Winegar.
