Juanita L. Allen, 96, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Middletown Home. She was born on May 7, 1922 in Middletown and was the daughter of the late Manual and Salley (Wilson) Bessera. Juanita was a member of First Zion Baptist Church, Middletown where she was a Deaconess for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being glamorous.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Allen Sr.; a brother, Jesse Bessera; a sister, Sara Barnes; a son, Robert Allen III. She is survived by her two daughters; Roberta Alridge and her husband Theodore of VA; Ramona Spruill of Steelton; a daughter-in-law, Eva L. Allen of Middletown; sister, Ramona Points of Middletown; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
A tribute to her life will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the First Zion Baptist Church, 451 Catherine St. Middletown PA 17057 with the Rev. James Hymon and Rev. Dr. Mary J. Patterson officiating. A viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in the East Middletown Cemetery.
