Paul “Howard” Hicks, 78, of Walnut Cove, NC passed away Tuesday December 4, 2018 at Walnut Cove Health & Rehab Center.
A funeral service will be held Friday December 7, 11 am at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.
Howard was born September 28, 1940 in Stokes County, NC to the late Paul Abraham Hicks and Myrtle Eva Hicks. He worked for Seager Water Proofing and loved to watch drag racing, as well as loving his dogs. He was a member Lawsonville Baptist Church.
Surviving are his Son Jeffrey Kiser of Madison, NC; Grandchildren Jennifer Mathys Shelton and husband Brad of Madison, NC; Michael Mathys and wife Michelle of Rural Hall, NC; Great Grandchildren Jordan Shelton and Caleb Mathys; Special Caregiver Niece Lisa Sizemore of Pine Hall, NC; Sisters Ruth Lawson and husband John of Pine Hall, NC and Edna Sands also of Pine Hall. Preceding him in death along with his parents are his Wife Thelma Manring Hicks, his Daughter Diane Kiser Mathys, and four Sisters Infant Hicks, Nina Smith, Shirley Tucker and Brenda Sizemore.
Visitation will be held Friday one hour prior to the service at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel 10 am until 11 am.
Memorials can be made to Lawsonville Baptist Church: 1021 Wess Hall Rd, Danbury, NC 27016.
The family will be meeting at the home of Greg Sizemore: 1030 Woody Lane, Pine Hall, NC 27042.
