William Floyd Ward, age 87, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in the Loris Rehab and Nursing Center, Loris, SC. Born December 23, 1930 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late William G. Ward and Eva Gertrude McLamb Ward Soles and the widower of Kathleen Durden Ward.
He is survived by one son: Kenny Ward and wife Tammy of Loris, SC: two daughters: Dianne Ward Branton of Loris, SC and Tonya Suggs and husband Mitchell of Loris, SC; four brothers: Charlie Ward of Loris, SC, Mitchell Ward of Loris, SC, W D Ward of Columbia, SC and Dennis Ward of North Myrtle Beach, SC; one sister: Mary Frances Faircloth of Longs, SC; eight grandchildren: Aiden Suggs, Brevin Suggs, Toni Rabon, Kaylynn Ward, John Robert Floyd, Richard Ward, Sherry Ward and Zebedee Ward and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son: Ricky Ward; one son-in-law: Lester C. Branton one granddaughter: Kathy Jo Ward; one sister: Lucille Fowler and one brother: Donald Ray Soles.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Inman Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
