Craig was born in Decatur, AL on October 3, 1969.

In 1994, Craig’s high school friend persuaded him to move from Florida to Mississippi. He met his future wife only two weeks after making this move. Craig and Carmen were married in 1995 and were then blessed with three beautiful daughters. Craig was a self-employed painter. He started his own business, Cunningham Paint Contracting. Craig enjoyed hunting, working out, going to the beach and sports. His main passions were the Dallas Cowboys, University of Alabama football and any sport that his children were involved in. Because of his daughters, he became quite interested in the East Rankin Academy girls’ basketball and soccer teams. Craig was a member of Pelahatchie Baptist Church.

Craig was preceded in death by a daughter, Leah Cunningham, and his step-father, Jim Standley. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Carmen Mashburn Cunningham, daughters Chloe and Brooke Cunningham, and son Chris (Nicole) Cunningham. His parents, Linda Standley and Ed and Alma Cunningham, sister Melanie (Torsten) Gretz, grandsons Colin and Myles Cunningham, nephews Jake and Cole Carson and Marcus Gretz, nieces Ella and Lila Edwards.
