Darrin W. Anderson, 57, of Odessa, Texas departed this life on December 16, 2018 in Devine, Texas following a motor vehicle accident. He was lovingly known as “Ugh” by his family and friends.
He was born in Kermit, Texas on March 9, 1961 to Dorman and Wanell Anderson. Darrin was a 1980 graduate of Kermit High School. He was employed by Target Oilfield Services at the time of his passing. Throughout the years, he was a member of several volunteer fire departments.
Darrin enjoyed cooking for his family, spending time in the great outdoors, a good cigarette and shot of Crown. He was always loved a good joke. His most enjoyable times were spent with his grandkids who knew him as Papaw Ugh.
He was proceeded in death by his father, a younger brother, Dean Anderson, both maternal and paternal grandparents and his stepfather, Jimmie Stroud.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Wanell Stroud of Odessa, Texas, two daughters, Kammie Bryant (Doug) of El Dorado, Arkansas and Kaitlyn Anderson of Conroe, Texas; two step children he considered his own, Brandi Wallace (Andy) of Cleburne, Texas and Benny “Boomer” Wallace, Jr. of Devine, Texas. One brother, Donald Anderson (Darla) of Lubbock, Texas and one sister, Lindia Anderson of Odessa, Texas; nine grandchildren: Branson and Ella Bryant, Kinsley West, Caylin, Morgan and Holley Brown, Bryce, Mason and Ryland Wallace; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a large following of family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home in Midland, Texas from 6-8pm on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Service will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home at 10 am on Friday, December 21, 2018 with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas; Jimmy Braswell officiating.
