Frances A. Guertin, 102, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at her home in Kankakee.

She was the beloved wife of William, who preceded her in death in 2013, and the loving mother of Ronald (Barbara) Guertin, David (Mary Ann) Guertin and Carol (Gerry) Bonick. Frances had 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by a brother, Joseph Hess of Kankakee, and a sister Betty Boness of Kenosha, WI.
She was born in Kankakee on September 28, 1916, the daughter of William and Sarah (Jeanette) Hess.

She was a homemaker, and for many years, she was the business manager for her husband’s sign business.

She had a kind heart and was loved by all who knew her. Many thanks to her caregivers who tended to her needs in recent years, especially Margo and Brenda, her close friends.
Visitation will be from 1-3pm on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, December 24, 2018 also at Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Bourbonnais.
