Douglas Lyn Bennett passed away December 16, 2018 in St. George, Utah. Doug was born May 5, 1947 to Linford John and Alice Mary [White ] Bennett in Randolph, Vermont.

Doug proudly served our country for 5 years in the United States Navy. He later met and married the love of his life Carrie Ellen Barton. They were married February 8, 1993 in Beaver, Utah.

Doug loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed the mountains, hiking, camping, fishing and rock hounding. Doug was known for his love of fixing things and was a go to handyman. He also enjoyed listening to music and was a great cook.

Doug is survived by his wife Carrie Ellen Barton Bennett of Beaver, Utah and his son Vincent (Cassidi) Bennett of Malod, Idaho.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Bennett.

Services will be held at the Beaver 4th Ward on December 21, 2018 at 11:00 am. A community receiving of family and friends will be held at the church prior to the service from 10:00 – 10:45 am. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Douglas Bennett Memorial fund at Wells Fargo.
