MRS. CATHERINE CRAHAN
Was a Sister of John Robinson and a Much Esteemed Woman
Mrs. Catherine Crahan whose sudden death was announced Saturday afternoon was 68 years of age. Heart disease was the cause of her death. She had a shock two years ago which it is thought was the original cause of heart trouble. She had been in her usual good health Saturday morning.
Mrs. Crahan came her from Rutland to reside with her children six years ago. Previous to going there the family resided in Shaftsbury where the husband died 18 years ago.
Mrs. Crahan leaves five children, William, Thomas, connected with the police force in New York, and Eugene of this village, with whom she resided and two daughters, Mrs. Timothy Dwyer of Rutland and Mrs. William Ryan of North street.
She was a sister of John Robinson of this town, George and Thomas Robinson and Mrs. Martin Murray of Shaftsbury.
Hers is the fourth death in the family within eighteen months. She returned from New York last Thursday, after attending the funeral of a grandson. Her funeral will be held from St. Francis de Sales church Tuesday morning. She was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
