Meredith “B.B.” Cook, Sr., 91, Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital following a long illness. A native of the Van Buren community, he was the son of the late Hubert and Alma Lawrence Cook. He was a farmer at heart and was formerly employed as a security officer for the Capitol and Capitol Annex in Frankfort. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing. He was a Baptist by faith.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Lillian Cook, his sister, Anna Smallwood, his brother, George Clarence “G. C.” Cook and his stepson, Michael Thompson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son, Meredith Cook, Jr. (Dantha Collinge) of Frankfort; one daughter, Mary Ann Sevenski of Ft. Meyers, FL; one stepdaughter, Sheila Wells of Lehigh Acres, FL; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Grove Hill Cemetery Chapel. Rev. Roy “Junie” Temple, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery.
