Mrs. Julia George Hocker, 89, of 400 East Forty-third, died yesterday at a nursing home at 911 Linwood. She was born in Saline County, Missouri, and had lived here most of her life. Mrs. Hocker was a member of the Country Club Christian church. Surviving are a son, William S. Hocker, Jr., 613 West Dartmouth road; a sister, Mrs. Mayme Harrison, Belton; a grandson and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30 o'clock today at Mount Moriah cemetery. Friends may call after noon today at the George chapel, Grandview.

Notes: Julia appears in the 1880 census with her parents and siblings in Saline County, Missouri. By the time of the 1900 census, her mother had died and she was living with her mother's sister Mary Edith (Gill) [Eaton] Vincent in Kansas City. She married William Shanks Hocker on 10 Oct 1900 in Jackson County, Missouri.
