Perry Davis was born November 4, 1958. He was the third child of four children born to the late W. L. Davis and Sallie Mae Jackson Davis. He attended school in the East Liberty Community and Shelbyville. Perry Davis accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.
Perry retired from Deep East Texas Electric Coop after forty years of employment.
Perry was a loving caring father who loved to joke around and make people laugh. If he wasn’t in front of the TV watching football, fishing, or hunting, he was enjoying time with his family and friends. Life came to an end for Perry Davis on December 11, 2018 at CHI St. Luke Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Walker.
He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Linda Johnson of Shelbyville, Texas; from his union to his late wife, Annette Davis, he had three children: oldest son, Lakendrick Durrell Davis of Washington D.C., daughter, Lakoha Denae Davis of Tyler, Texas, and his twin, Perry Davis, Jr. of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandsons, Ja’Kerrion Davis, Bryson Davis, and Perry Davis, III; granddaughters, Ja’Leyah Davis, Ameera Davis, and Taniyah Copeland; siblings, Willie Davis of Shelbyville and Sallie Ann Bolton of Arlington, Texas; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
