ceremony celebrating the life of Leon Daniel Harris will be held at 2 pm on Thursday December 20, 2018 at First Pentecostal Church Denham Springs; visitation will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Twin Pine Cemetery Holden. Mr. Harris was born on May 4, 1945 in Baton Rouge and passed from this life at his residence on Monday December 17, 2018 at the age of 73 years. He was a retired member of Electrical IBEW Local 995, the American Legion and served with the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He is preceded in death by his parents Melton Lee and Antonia James Harris, siblings Reta Harris Clark, Melton Harris Jr and Donald Harris. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Carolyn Rose Stockstill Harris; children Lorrie Harris Anderson and Philip Daniel Harris (Rebecca); adopted son Daniel Poirrier; brothers Richard and Raymond Harris; grandchild Parker Daniel Harris; also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
