Wade Archibald Taylor, Jr., 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Wade A. Taylor, Sr. and Mary Taylor; wife: Clementine Hardin Taylor; son: Archie Taylor; three brothers: Clio, Edwin, and Robert Taylor and sister: Margaret Taylor.

Wade is survived by son: Dale Taylor and wife Tracy of Elizabethtown; sister: Dorothy Daniel of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren: Megan Taylor, Gabriel Taylor (Angel), McKenzie Taylor; eight great-grandchildren: Carson, Jake, Knox, Harley, Archie, Drake, Tristan and Noah.

Wade was a member and Sunday School Superintendent of Bethel Baptist Church. He also served as mayor of Dublin for several years. After moving to Elizabethtown around 1950, Wade worked with Bladen Tire before starting T and T Tire in 1964. He loved to hunt, fish and farm land. Wade was good to his siblings and would do anything for his family. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. Wade will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 20th at 4pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 7pm. Burial will be held on Friday, December 21st at 10am in the Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Door Ministries 2704 East Broad Street Elizabethtown, NC 28337 and to the Bladen County Chapter of His Laboring Few Biker Ministry.
