Steven Thomas West, 48, of Baltimore, Md., passed away on Dec. 17, 2018.
Steven was born in Somerville, N.J., to Tom and Pat (Cragle) West. He was raised in South Bound Brook, N.J., where he graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1988. He lived in Bloomsburg, and moved to Maryland in the late ‘90s. He married the love of his life, Leslie Erin Currier, on May 1, 2009.
His outgoing, and friendly personality made him a perfect fit for his career with Bankers Life Insurance Company. He was also a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed softball, cooking, grilling, watching movies, and most of all, spending time with his family and cats. Steve will be remembered by his family for his love of people, sense of humor that brightened a room and his support for them.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
He leaves to cherish precious memories his beloved wife, Leslie West; children: Devan Ferrara, PVT, and Maddy West; parents, Tom and Pat West; sister, Vicki Hess (Randy); nephews, Ryan and Tyler Hess; father and mother-in-law, Lee and Linda Currier; uncle, Ron Cragle (Cindy); the Currier Clan; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive visitors at Community Gospel Church, 8223 Fort Smallwood Road, Pasadena, MD 21226 (please park in rear on Parkway Road), on Saturday, Dec. 22, from 12-1 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. and the family invites you to stay for a memorial lunch.
