New Holstein - Otto P. Steiner, age 97, of New Holstein, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018, at the Homestead Care Center in New Holstein.
He was born October 27, 1921, in the Town of New Holstein to Jacob & Barbara (Meier) Steiner. Otto attended St. Charles Catholic Grade School in Charlesburg. He farmed on the Steiner homestead in the Town of New Holstein for 35 years until his retirement in 1981.
Otto was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, the Holy Name Society, Catholic Knights Branch #118 in Charlesburg, Chilton Eagles Club; and a former member of the New Holstein Lions Club.
Otto is survived by many nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers and sisters, Isidore (Armella) Steiner, infant brother, Benedict Steiner, Exilda (Edwin) Wagner, Marie (Harvey) Roehrig, and Sedona (Herbert) Freund.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM Noon on Friday, December 21, 2018, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061.
Otto will be laid to rest in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
