Jeanette Calfee Wright O’Quinn of Princeton died Monday, December 17, 2018, at Princeton Healthcare Center following a brief illness. She was the youngest of nine children born to the late Clarence W. and Alice Hager Calfee.
Born and educated in Mercer County, she worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, Clover Dew Dairy, for thirty-three years. After the business closed, she worked as a bookkeeper for Bluefield Eye Clinic until her retirement.
She was a life-long member of the Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she served in various offices. She was also a teacher in the children’s departments.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin G. Wright; four brothers, Carl E. Calfee, Clarence Calfee, Jr., Donald E. Calfee, and James B. Calfee; and two sisters, Irene Dye, and Dorothy Linkous Strother.
Survivors include her husband, Lester B. O’Quinn; two sons, Thomas L. Wright of Bluefield, and Phillip A. Wright of Princeton; three grandchildren, Kristi Wright Pennington, Brandon Mark Wright, and John Andrew Wright; three great-grandchildren, Austin, Leah, and Leland Pennington; and two sisters, Frances Whitt of Pearisburg, VA, and Betty Renfroe of Jackson, MS. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Princeton Healthcare Center for their love and compassionate care.
