She was born on September 3, 1963 in Cross Plains, Raymond and Carol (Ross) Schulenburg. Connie grew up in Cross Plains and attended Middleton High School. While in high school, she met the love of her life, her husband Greg, and they were inseparable from that day forward. Connie and Greg were married on September 5, 1987.
Connie enjoyed her children and grandchild, along with numerous dogs, gardening, needlework, baking and jam-making for family and friends, as well as homemaking in general. She was Greg and the family's ever present backbone and source of love.
Connie is survived by her husband Greg Ward; daughter, Lyndsy Ward; son, Nicholas Ward; granddaughter, Adyleigh Ward, all from Middleton; mother Carol (Ross) Schulenburg of Cross Plains; sisters Katherine (Schulenburg) Richards of Dane and Cindy (Schulenburg) Statz of Oregon; nieces Carla (Richards) Barbian of Dane and Erin Statz of Brooklyn.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Schulenburg and her brother, Jeffrey Schulenburg.
A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton from 4-pm to 8-pm on Wednesday November 2, 2016.
