Father-in-law of Frank Sinatra
Son of Bartolomeo Barbato and Madalena Scotti
He had 7 siblings: Filippo Barbato, Vito Barbato and 5 other siblings.
Michaelangelo married Jennie Fogacci in 1907, at age 18 in New Jersey. They had eight children (Madeline, Angela, Bartholomew, Nancy, Constance, Aida, Lillian Joan and Julia Angelina). He was a plasterer from New Jersey City. He immigrated to the US on November 4, 1903, arriving in New York City from the ship Calabria which sailed from Naples, Italy.
He was a plastering contractor and he would give work to Frank Sinatra and to son Bart. Early on, when they were first working for him, he'd pay them for a job, and then he'd have to undo everything they did and do it over. The pair eventually got better and Mike didn't have to undo it all.
