Funeral Services for Gladys Boyd Anderson, 91, of Cookeville will be held at 7:00pm, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Allen officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00pm until the time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Anderson will have a private burial in Cookeville City Cemetery on Wednesday.

Gladys passed away Monday morning, December 17, 2018 at NHC-Cookeville.

She was born on May 20th, 1927 in Birchwood, Tennessee to the late James Carson and Delia Dunegan Boyd (of Decherd,TN).

Gladys was a member of West View Baptist Church for sixty years. She served as the "Den Mother" for Cub Scouts while her sons were both involved. She was a wonderful seamstress and quilter.

She was married to the love of her life, Walter Anderson for 60 years and was preceded in death by him in 2007, and her youngest son, Myron Anderson in 2017.

Mrs. Anderson's family includes her son Ronald Anderson and wife Kim of Cookeville; her daughter-in-law, Tammy Anderson of Franklin,; and a brother, Marshall Boyd and wife Pauline of Decherd; and several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and son, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Hubert, Glen, Fred and Clyde Boyd; and a sister, LaVerne Finney.
