Another Pioneer Gone
Mrs Ann Tibbit, aged 93 years, died Tuesday evening at the home of D. T.Buckman, where she had made her home for the past five years.
Deceased was born at Methwold, county of Norfolk, England, in 1814. She came to this country in 1854, settling in Rutland and had been a resident of this section for the past 53 years. Her husband, Edward Tibbit, died in 1889.
Funeral services will be held this Friday afternoon from the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. E. J. Symons. She was the mother of eleven children, six of whom now survive;
Mrs. James Carrison of Rutland, Mrs. Jane Clark, Osage, Ia., Mrs. Anthony Carter Northwood Ia, George, Mason City, Ia., Mrs. Z. L. Welman, Rutland, and Fred, of this city.
The good old lady has filled her mission here and has gone to that better land to see her just reward.
