Lynn was born December 28, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Leone Martha Burkhardt Wright and Fredrick Lewis Wright. He lost his hard fought battle with cancer on December 17, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones.
He Married his high school sweetheart, JaNett Turner Wright, on August 24, 1959 in Ely, Nevada and sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 17, 1966.
Together they raised 8 of their 9 children in Murray, Utah. Lynn was a loving husband, father and grandfather to all of his 32 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He had a special bond with each and everyone one of them.
He was an excellent mechanic and specialized in automatic transmissions. He enjoyed billiards and earned many league trophies and even the nick name “Giant Killer” among his opponents. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors including camping, fishing, rock hounding and even a simple drive through the mountains during the fall.
Lynn enjoyed helping his friends and family with anything he could. Being one of the many traits which define his caring personality, he loved to surprise everyone in a unique and personal way which touched the hearts of all. With his bright smile, he was known to be quite the jokester, making everyone laugh up until the very end.
He is survived by his 8 children: Mark Wright (Terri), Cindy Barr (Dave), Janean Turek (Steve), Lisa Stephenson, Wendy Wright (Jerry Kelsch), Wayne Wright (Brenda), Margie Vance, Mike Wright (Stephanie); and his brothers, Val (Carol) and Gerald (Shirley).
Preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife; daughter, Kimberly Wright; grandson, Nicholas Pace; sister; Beverly Johnson; and half- brother, John T.
