She was born in Mazomanie on August 5, 1931 to Clarence and Emily (Reeve) Sheldon. She married Cletus “Bud” Coyle on August 29, 1953.
Betty enjoyed making cards for her family and friends. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post No. 245 of Cross Plains.
Betty is survived by three children, Steven (Charleen) Coyle of Black Earth, Jean (Charles) Hilgendorf of De Forest, Dave (Sue) Coyle of Waunakee; four grandchildren, James (Tara) Coyle, of Black Earth, Shannon, Devin and Dustin Coyle of Waunakee; sisters-in-law, Arlene Sheldon of Fort Atkinson, Dolores Coyle of De Forest, Marge Simon of La Crosse, Anna Sheldon of Sauk City and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1994; brothers, Clinton, Wendell, Glen “Bud”, Lyle, Dean; a nephew Larry Dean Sheldon, and a dear sister-in-law, Tiny Meuer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes Street, Cross Plains at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 21, 2012, with Father Thomas Kelley presiding. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
