David E. Ritchie, 54, of Rome City died Sunday, December 16, 2018, at 12:20 p.m. at his residence.

He was born July 14, 1964, in LaGrange to Eugene and Peggy E. (Sizemore) Ritchie.

David was raised in Kentucky and returned to this area in 1981.

He was a truck driver owner and operator and a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Sheena Randol of Topeka; a son, Daniel Ritchie of Wolcottville; three grandchildren, Jared Ritchie, David Randol and Lenny Randol; his mother, Peggy E. Nannenga of Rome City; a brother, Harrison R. Ritchie of Rome City; a sister, Lisa Ritchie of Rome City; a stepsister, Amy (Mike) Stone of Wheatfield; three nieces, Sarah Owens of Rome City, Emillee Ritchie of Pennsylvania, Kylee Ritchie of Pennsylvania; and a nephew, Nicholas Ritchie of Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Hazel Ritchie; paternal grandparents, Estil and Ruby Ritchie; maternal grandparents, Harrison and Hazel Sizemore; and his stepfather, Arthur Nannenga.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 21, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the True God on State Road 3 north of South Milford with Pastor Ollie Smith and Pastor Donnie Patrick officiating.

Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church where there will be an evening service at 7 p.m. Calling will also be one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
