She loved sports, especially watching her girls play ball during their school years. She was a die hard North Carolina Tar Heels and Starmount Rams fan. She loved cooking and was famous for her pound cakes, in her earlier years she also taught Sunday School at East Elkin Baptist Church.
She was the wife of 55 years to Archie Dean King of the home.
