Marlene L Conley (McLaughlin) Jordan 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday morning December 16, 2018 at the home that she and her first husband, Richard, built in West Chapman.

She was born October 26, 1936 in Caribou, the daughter of Eldridge and Gladys Everett Conley. She was raised with 12 other siblings in Washburn.

She worked many years for Linwood Raymond- CPA, she also worked many years in the banking industry and retired at First Citizens Bank.

Marlene was a very crafty person who enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and making quilts. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and hiking at Deboullie with her family and close friends, Ken and Judy Coutts, and doing puzzles and word finds.

She is survived by a son Lionel McLaughlin and his wife Shelli of West Chapman, two daughters; Julie Roope and her husband Ron of Mapleton, Loretta Clark and her husband Russell of Mapleton, five brothers; Jim Conley of California, Doug of New Jersey, Ivan of Florida, Bill of New Jersey, and Lester Conley of New Hampshire, two sisters; Mona Blanchard of Presque Isle, and Vella Fatkins of Kentucky. Marlene’s pride and joy were her 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two husbands; Richard McLaughlin and Donald Jordan.

A special thank you to Judy Brown and Gail Woodman for the care and love they provided to Marlene.

A graveside service will be held in June 2019 at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton. Donations in memory of her may be made to the West Chapman Advent Christian Church, West Chapman, Me.
