Carol Jean Brown, 87, of Las Vegas passed away December 9, 2018. Mom was born August 5, 1931, in Pocatello, ID, to Ferdinand and Virginia Reese. She married Philip Floor in 1950, and had two children. Carol was a supervisor at Centel Phone Co. for 30 years and her education was ongoing throughout her career. She loved her job! Mom enjoyed bowling, bridge, painting, crocheting, music, dancing and picnics in the mountains. She belonged to ITPA and helped Shade Tree, St. Vincent's, Seniors in Need and Salvation Army. Carol loved her country and made people laugh with her quick wit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil; son, Louis Floor; two sisters, Theda Lish and Margie Radford; and baby brother, Gary. Carol is survived by her daughter, Ginny Young and her husband, Jim; two brothers, Bill Reese and Ed Reese; baby sister, Kay Hopkins; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. They love and adore their Meme! Mom left behind a beautiful legacy of giving selflessly to others in need with no judgment. Services will at 11 a.m. Sat., Dec. 22, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8755 Iron Mtn. Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89143. Burial to follow at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Las Vegas Veteran's Hospital. Forms to donate will be available at the service.
