Kentucky New Era obit posted 12 Feb 2007 reads as follows:

Ruby Viola Hill Blakenship, 79, High Point Drive, formerly of Crofton, died at 6:50am Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a brief illness.

Services will be at 2pm Tuesday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Crofton, with the Rev. Melvin Felts officiating. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Tuesday until time for the service.

A native of Christian County, she was born April 18, 1927, the daughter of the late James Walter and Ethel Allen P'Pool Hill.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Crofton Baptist Church.

Her husband, David Clifton Blankenship, died in 1986.

Survivors include three sons, David S. Blankenship, Carbondale, Ill., Franklin T.. Blankenship, Louisville, Russell Blankenship, Hopkinsville; two daughters, Nancy V. Haile and Mary E Abell, both of Crofton; a brother, Charles T. Hill, Hopkinsville, nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
