Elizabeth Zipf was the daughter of Archibald Boggs Taylor and Margaret Louise Webb Tayyor. She was a graduate of Duke University and during World War II worked for IBM in Washington DC. In 1946 she met her future husband, Major Karl Amos Zipf who was a customer of IBM, working at the Pentagon. Elizabeth and Karl moved around the US and Hawaii as Karl transferred between assignments, finally settling in New Jersey and New York after his retirement. Elizabeth worked as a real estate broker-manager until moving again to Delaware. Survivors include two children, two grandchildren, and two sisters.
