Shirley J. Hildebrand, 87, died December 12, 2018 at Good Samaritan Village, Hutchinson. She was born April 17, 1931 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Epperson McNew. She graduated from Hutchinson High School and received her associate's degree from Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson. She is a member of Hutchinson First United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include: two sons; Dennis (Kay) Hildebrand, Hutchinson and Larry Hildebrand, Kansas City; and a sister, Marilyn Balke, Coquille, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wallace McNew; and a sister, Donna Stucky.
Cremation is planned. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Good Samaritan Village Clubhouse. Buhler Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
