Ms. Reba Lynn Ward, age 54, of Rome, formerly of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away December 15, 2018.
She was born July 29, 1964.
She is preceded in death by a son, Zachary Wade McElroy; and a brother, Richard Mark Ward.
Reba was a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She had a fierce love for her family and friends. She was always first to stand for what she believed in. The youngest of four children, she was known for being a scrapper and fighting to the end. Her work ethics were above reproach, working longer and harder than anyone else to get the job done. Her favorite downtime was enjoying tropical cruises with her friends.
Reba passed away in Floyd hospital after a brief illness.

She is survived by her parents, Gary and Glenda Mize Ward of Tallapoosa; a son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Courtney McAlpin of Heflin; a sister, Renee Overton of Tallapoosa; a brother and sister-in-law, Randal and Tammy Ward of Buchanan; four nephews, Corey (Chelsie) Ward, Clay Ward, Jonathan (Chasity) Ward, and Jake Overton; a niece, Mallory (Tyler) McSwain; three great nieces; and two great nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 4:00PM in the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Robinson officiating. Music will be provided by Tyler McSwain.
Her family will receive friends Sunday, December 16th between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 PM.
