ELLICOTTVILLE - Eva J. Sischo, 86, formerly of Ellicottville, passed away on Saturday (Dec. 8, 2018) in Roscoe.
She was born on June 24, 1932,, in Conewango, the daughter of the late Clifford and Beatrice Grey Hotchkiss. On Aug. 5, 1950, she married Keith Sischo, who predeceased her on Dec. 25, 2016.
Mrs. Sischo owned and operated the Sischo Radio and TV Service repair shop, in Ellicottville, for many years with her husband.
She was also a lifelong musician. Along with her husband, Keith, she was a member of their band, The Goldtones, as well as the United Church in Ellicottville. Mrs. Sischo also worked throughout the community at different jobs and enjoyed her time helping the elderly. She held many hobbies, including gardening, golfing, skiing and fencing. Mrs. Sischo also enjoyed motorcycles, working with horses and raising Australian Shepherds.
Mrs. Sischo is survived by two daughters, Beverlee (Harold) Swartwout of Hancock and Michelle (Steve Rogers) Sischo of Chapel Hill, N.C.; three grandchildren, Jason (Erin) Grover, Jamie (Damian) Munn and Landon Rogers; as well as five great-grandchildren, Aria Munn, Cadence Munn, Makenna Hill, Logan Grover and Lukas Grover; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and loving husband of 66 years, Mrs. Sischo is predeceased by a granddaughter, Leia Grace Rogers; a brother, Leonard Hotchkiss; and a sister, Audrey Michelson.
Burial will be in Cherry Creek Cemetery.
