Beloved companion of Henry “Hank” Brown of over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Joseph Rainey and survived by her mother, Mary Louise Watson Rainey.
Loving sister of Douglas Joseph Rainey, Jr (Julie Bonnette).
Devoted mother to Melissa Roberts Tavlin (Don), Angelle Roberts Rodriguez (Ronnie), Kellie Jude Roberts and the late Casey Alan Roberts.
She adored her 9 grandchildren, Brandon Achary, Brooke Rodriguez, Danielle Rodriguez, Alexandra Roberts (Danielle Martin), Kelsey Bergeron, Nathan Roach, Madelyn Tavlin, Julia Tavlin and Parker Beaudean and four great grandchildren. She also cherished her two nieces, Jessica Rainey Alphonso (Lynn) and Abigayle Rainey.
She graduated from Chalmette High School and had many life-long friends that cared deeply for her.
She was originally a beautician by trade and retired from Conklin Metal Industries as inside sales/administrative assistant.
Cynthia was a remarkable cook and never used a recipe. She enjoyed making delicious meals for everyone. Her famous dishes will be made for generations to come. Her love of hot tea every morning has been passed down to her children and grandchildren. Her collection of teapots will be cherished forever. She was a selfless person who always put others first. She dedicated her entire life to helping and taking care of others.
