She had two older brothers: Stansfield Turner and Janus Twain Turner.

Note: according to Graceland cemetery records, Josephine Turner was cremated and her ashes were delivered to the Carl Adams Funeral Home. There was a note tied to her records that there were plans for her ashes to be scattered at Graceland, on the same lot that her brother Janus Twain was scattered at (Edgewood 106). No indications as to whether this was done or not for Josephine's ashes. Janus Twain's ashes were scattered over his grandfather's (Emil William Wagner) grave at Graceland.
