Funeral Services for Nette will be at 2 PM Thursday December 13 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Coltharp and Bro. Paul Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Medlock Cemetery near Ashland.
Born May 6, 1960 in Memphis, TN, she is the daughter of Phillip "Pop" and Betty Shoffner Tidwell of Falkner and the late Charles Curtis Shelby. Nette was a 1978 graduate of Walnut High School and was employed by The Ashley Furniture Corporation before her illness.
A member of Medlock Methodist Church, Nette was known as a "people person" who always had a smile. Her physical limitations did not hinder the joy and love she shared with others.
Through her trials on this earth, she will be remembered for her strong will, the love for her family and her loyal canine, "Sully" the Silky Terrior.
Visitation will continue Thursday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
Those also left to treasure her memory include her sons, William Wayne James, Jr. (Tabitha) and Charles Marion James, both of Ripley, one brother, Vincent Shelby (Polly) of Falkner, two grandchildren, Dena Leighanne and Kevin Scott James and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The Ripley Funeral Home is honored to serve Nette's family and invites you to share memories.
