David H. Heath, 81, of Loretta died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.
David Hugh Heath was born Oct. 30, 1936, in Draper, the son of Lester and Alice (Biller) Heath. He grew up in the Draper/Loretta area where he lived his whole life, graduating from Winter High School. Dave was united in marriage to Grace Helsing on Sept. 3, 1954. He worked road construction, logging and was Sawyer County Zoning Administrator for 25 years. Dave was Draper Town Chairman and was on the town board for many years. He loved to fish, hunt and log.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; sons, William “Bill” and his children Stacy, Amy, Alexa and Paige, Jeff and his children Stephanie and Callie Jo, Mark (Linda) and their children, Brandon and J.D., Mike (Jodi) and their children Hannah and Nick; daughter Marcy (Mike) Pinerio and their children Brayden and Jordyn; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Stacy; granddaughter, Alicia; great-granddaughter, Molly; and brothers, Robert and Jack.
A Celebration of Life was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Loretta. Pastor Terri Blomberg officiated with music provided by Jeanne Burt and Cheryl Myhrvold. Burial was in Draper Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church.
Honorary bearers will be the Coffee Clutch Crew: Tom Grahovac, Paul Fritz, Rich DeVriend, Mike Bingen and canine companion Twig.
