Richard Bruce Ellison, 80, of Washington, W.Va., passed away Dec. 13, 2018, in Camden Clark Medical Center, following a brief illness.

He was born March 20, 1938, in Spencer, WV, a son of the late Rastus Berry and Dola (Jarvis) Ellison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Rick Ellison; brothers Hoyt, Don, Jack, Buell and sister-in-law Dorothy.

Richard was a U. S. Air Force Veteran and was an independent truck driver for various companies. He enjoyed working, spending time with family and was Baptist by faith.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 1/2 years Inez (Walton) Ellison; sons Larry (Tina) Ellison of Parkersburg, Gary (Veronica) Ellison of Rapid City, S.D., Brian (Amy) Ellison of Belpre, Ohio; grandchildren Sabrena (Eddie) McKinney, Stacy (Steven) Tichy, Daphne (Jansen) Jeffrey, Gordon Ellison, Brittany (Jesse) Fittro, Kenny Ellison, Kelly Ellison, Ryan Ellison, Brianna Ellison, Henry Ellison; great grandchildren Sadie, Ellie, Gracie, Payson, Maddie, Adlee, Garrett, Victoria, Ryan; sister in laws Avis Full, Pat Ellison and his beloved Poodle, Muffin.

Service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Bill Walton officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg.
