She was born August 9, 1933 in Gloversville, one of four children to George and Lena Hohenforst.
She graduated from Gloversville High School and was a glove worker, retiring from the glove industry.
Carrie loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carrie also loved cooking, family occasions, watching the Football Giants and NASCAR. She also loved going shopping with her daughter. She loved German Shepherds, both hers and her grand puppies.
Carrie was predeceased by her loving husband, Clark, of 62 years. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Ruiz of St. Cloud, FL and Nancy House (Len) of Mayfield; one sister, Dorothy Coons of Gloversville; five grandchildren, David Ruiz, Darren Ruiz, Steven House, William House and Kristine Welch (Dave) as well as two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Andy Welch. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Raymond and sister Lillian.
As per Carrie's wishes there will be no service. Burial will take place at a later date at Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, alongside her husband Clark.
