Michael Wayne Dodson, a lifelong resident of Tampa, FL, passed away suddenly on December 6, 2018. He was 52 years young. He lived a life full of love, laughter, humility and had a strong faith in God. Michael is survived by his son, Michael and wife, Nina Eichorn, his daughter, Jessica Dodson, his son, Marvin Dodson and his significant other, Amy Barrow. He is also survived by his beloved Grandchildren; Chase and Madalynn Eichorn and his siblings; Kathy Ferrer and brother in law, Daniel Ferrer, Russell Dodson, Wendell and Sally Dodson, Donna and Todd Blair, his twin, Michelle and her husband, Courtney Badour, his former wife, Michele Dodson, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and an overwhelming amount of friends. He is predeceased in death by his parents, Lorraine and Jacob Dodson and sister in law, Nancy Dodson. Michael was born in Crestview, FL on October 9, 1966. Michael, a country boy at heart, enjoyed a simple life in the back woods and down the country roads of Tampa, Fl. Although he grew up in Florida, he had a strong connection to his Cajun heritage and his extended Louisiana family. Michael never knew a stranger. His overwhelming generosity and kindness was felt by all who met him. Michael was a craftsman of many trades which he mastered this with ease. He was the historian of the family and truly enjoyed sharing his family lineage with everyone. His greatest treasures on earth were not material but relational and time spent with his children, grandchildren, friends and family meant the world to him. Michael was especially fond of sharing his faith with others, taking his grandchildren to church on Sundays and having a few laughs with the boys. This world has lost a beautiful soul in our Michael. May he rest peacefully in the arms of his Savior, knowing joy everlasting til we meet him again. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on December 12, 2018 at Sylvan Abbey-Funeral, 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL. Sylvan Abbey FH
