Daughter of Robert J. Shreeve and Ethel T. Meadows. Wife of Henry G. Liebeck (1912-1991)
Stella became (in)famous in the early 1990s when she sued McDonald's after spilling coffee on her lap while sitting in the passenger seat of her grandson's parked car. She suffered 3rd degree burns to 16% of her body and nearly died. A court later awarded her $2.9 million in damages - however, Stella settled for less than $500,000.
