Janice Fipps Banks, 68, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Jimmy Edwin Banks entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 12, 2018. The family will receive friends Friday, December 14, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Janice was born June 30, 1950 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Barney Lee Fipps, Sr., and Hazel Hickman Fipps. She was a graduate of St. John's High School and was part owner of Bemco, Inc. She was a member of Deep River Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Allison Jackson (Michael) of Charleston, SC; son, Jimmy Edwin Banks, II of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Hannah Grace Jackson, Joshua Alan Jackson; six sisters, Marie Susser, Travis Cook (James), Deborah Kinard (Ronnie), Barbara Bosc (Steven), Kim Carusa (Nick), Amy Garvin (James); three brothers, Barney Fipps, Jr., (Jeanette), Oral Fipps, Sr., (Michele), Karl Fipps, Sr., (Lydia).
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Deep River Church of God, 8190 Dorchester Rd, North Charleston, SC 29418.
