Donald "Max" Higdon, 70, Easton, MO, died Friday, December 20, 2002, at his home. Mr. Higdon had been employed as an over-the-road truck driver for Crouch Brothers, McLean and C.F. Trucking, retiring after 31 years, and had continued to farm near Wathena, KS, and Easton, MO. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service, 1946 Colhoun, St. Joseph, MO; interment in Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy, KS. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday. The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or Shriners Hospitals.
